Answer
Arihants have shredded 4 karmas out of 8 where as Siddhas have shredded all of their 8 karmas. Still our first Namaskar is offered to Arihants in Navkar Mantra. Why is it so?
It is through Arihants that we have been able to recognize Siddhas and it is through His preachings that supreme values have been made intelligible to us (i.e. Tirth Sthapana). Hence Arihants are our Supreme Guru (Spiritual Teacher) and the Guru is entitled to receive our preferential obeisance.
It is through His medium that eternal principles of Jainism have been made available to us. In consequence, He must have our highest gratitude and reverence.
